Mr Marc Chesley, VP of Product and Technology for Infusionsoft, was very proud about receiving this award:

“It’s an honor that TMC is recognizing us for our commitment to our small business customers and innovation.”

“In the next 12 months 600,000 new small businesses will be created. By the end of the year, half of them will have shut their doors forever. The CEO of TMC, Rich Tehrani, was full of praise for Infusionsoft.

“Infusionsoft has been recognized with a 2009 Product of the Year Award for their admirable efforts in the advancement of email marketing communications.

Do you want a Swiss Army Knife or a Bread Knife for your business?

Posted on: July 12th, 2010 by Marc P Summers No Comments

If you had to survive all by yourself on a deserted island, what would you rather have, a Swiss Army Knife or a Bread Knife?

I found this picture below and really Infusionsoft can be likened to a Swiss Army Knife. It is the most powerful CRM system and it is a very good one, too. Like Victorinox of CRM.

Every entrepreneur has to survive out there by managing the clients’ records, sales/marketing efforts, tasks/appointments, invoices, and so on. Why do you carry different knives for each task, when you can have a tool which comes with every knife?

Marketingblast! 3 Minutes Marketing Techniques PART 4: Google’s Automated Marketing Strategy

Posted on: July 7th, 2010 by Marc P Summers No Comments

Did you know that Google does not invest money at all in advertising?

The co-founder of Google, Sergey Brin, stated that:

“Google actually relies on our users to help with our marketing. We have a very high percentage of our users who often tell others about our search engine.”

Google is in fact automating their marketing efforts.  Using the word-of-mouth is one of the highly effective marketing strategies.

Do you have a system in place that allows you to gather the testimonials of your clients? Is your CRM system allowing you to gain feedback from your clients?

We google-logoed our company name. We do not want to copy everything Google does :-) but surely there are many things we can learn from them!

Have a good evening!

Marketingblast! 3 Minutes Marketing Techniques PART 3: The Law of Compounding

Posted on: July 5th, 2010 by Marc P Summers No Comments

Albert Einstein said that the most powerful force in the universe is the law of compounding.

What if I say to you that this also applies to marketing? The secret of having a successful marketing campaign is compouding your efforts and not having just one shot at something and quit. Sometimes you will need to commit your time and effort until you get the rewards!

Therefore, it is very important to plan your marketing campaigns before executing them. And if you prepare well and decide that your particular marketing campaign is worth investing your time and money, stick to it.

A good example to illustrate this point is Marlboro’s advertising campaign. The Marlboro Cowboy Man adverts helped the company to top the industry, but the success did not come overnight. They had to wait a year and stick to the plan before the sales began to increase.

Marketingblast! 3 Minutes Marketing Techniques PART 2: Effective Direct Mailing

Posted on: July 2nd, 2010 by Marc P Summers No Comments

If you have a cold list of 1000 people, what will be a better way of converting them into your prospects and eventually to your clients?

Rather than sending all of them the sales letters again and again, it will be better to send them a letter to sell a free gift. It can be a DVD, an e-book or a free seminar. These free gifts should be related to what you are going to sell.

This way, you can find out who have the higher level of interest in what you are going to sell. You can then keep focusing on those people who responded for the offer by sending subsquent offers to start nurturing the relationship.

These respondents are more likely to buy from you when you finally make a sales pitch because you have already established a relationship. It is like when you meet someone in a pub, you do not directly ask that person to marry you, right?

You can also save money by not sending the subsquent mails to the people who are just not interested. You can then use that money to focus on these hotter leads by giving them more value. i.e. better envelope or better gift.

Marketingblast! 3 Minutes Marketing Techniques PART 1: Just Ask!

Posted on: July 1st, 2010 by Marc P Summers No Comments

How well do you know your clients? We all know that the more we know about the client, the more profitable our business will become, right?  Yes we know. Yes we know but how many of us are really good at implementing that?

The best way to find out our clients is to JUST ASK. Well, in fact it is the only way to know more about clients.

Ask your clients what they liked about your service or product. Ask your clients if they can refer someone. Ask your clients if they will be also interested in the another product or service that you are selling. You will be amazed that most of them will be happy to give you the information.

Remember, the best clients are your existing clients. So Ask them. And continue nurturing the relationship!
